For those that have some older kids who still believe in Santa, do you wait until Christmas to put all of their gifts under the tree?

I often used to put some under before and then the rest after. But, Amanda can read now. LOL

Once I start wrapping, it's going to be awful hard to hide the gifts.

My mum always used to do it that she would wait until we went to bed (and send us to bed ridiculously early...), tell us we had to stay asleep as Santa was watching us (and he knows when you're awake!), wait until we were asleep and THEN wrap everything up!

I know this because I had a nightmare one day and came downstairs to catch her in the act! But she just told me very simply that father Christmas was extra busy that year because one of his reindeer was ill so he was a bit behind time, so he had left the gifts with her to wrap! That was that and I went happily off to bed - perfectly reasonable explanation in a child's mind!

My mom always did a mix of gifts from Santa and from family/her. So some gifts were under the tree beforehand and than all of Santa's gifts went out after we went to sleep

I always put the presents from us that say from mum and dad under the tree before Christmas and then obviously the ones from Santa on Christmas eve once she's in bed, usually around 1am cause I'm still up at that time wrapping presents lol.

It's nice to see Rachel get excited about the presents from us and let her guess for a while what they are, although I think this is the last year she will believe in Santa, she is already having doubts from her intelligence and what others say but I think deep down she still would like to believe. It's sad thinking she doesn't believe but at least we've got Ruby now who will.

Well, someone on here had a great idea so that you didn't have to label the presents. That was to buy one specific wrapping paper for each individual child. But, if I use that paper for all the gifts and put some under the tree and then Santa comes, why does Santa have the same paper?

ROFL!

my little chappie is going to be 8 on saturday and he's already questionning me about santa, i still insist he is real, but he's just too clever, he nows already

we were on the bus the other day and he was gabbing away about how much money we would have to actually spend on presents this year, i was like

"we dont spend money on presents, who told you that? we maybe get like nana one present and one for uncle billy and aunt shell, but santa brings ours"

hes like "but mum every year i go to get towels and they fall out the cupboard"

all the odl people ont he bus were laughing and all like "aaaaaw"

i was like "santa put them there early"

hahahaha aw well, i know for a fact this time next year, santa will be over in the "make believe pile" beside the easter bunny and the tooth fairy.. quite sad actually, but hey ho's, we'll just ahve to make this year extra specially exciting i suppose x

Oh, but Santa never has the same wrapping paper, he always has his own special paper that so far no one else has ever had!! And on occassions when Santa has accidentally left his roll of wrapping paper in the house:dohh: it's because he thought we might like to keep what's left. LOL

LOL. I was wayyy too afraid of my dad when I was a kid to DARE get downstairs and peek to see what was going on with Santa hehe. I remember waking up at like 4am wanting my presents one year and my mom told me if I didn't get back to bed Santa wouldn't come (guess my parents used to put them out just before we woke up?) I remember them bringing our stockings up to our bedrooms for us before we were allowed downstairs to open our gifts..

Also I remember one year my brother snuck downstairs and hid under the dining room table where they were wrapping gifts (there was a table cloth) and when my dad left to get a drink or something he popped out and grabbed an unwrapped gift and ran, haha. My dad only caught him because our stairs are creaky :) little imp!!

My parents used to wrap the gifts from them and put them under the tree and then the ones from santa would go under the tree early christmas morning usually around 1ish some years they didnt wrap all of the presents until christmas eve and then put all of them out then.

I used to drive my mother insane with this when I got around Amanda's age. I would never go to sleep and kept checking if Santa came, so mom could never get them out until 4am. Of course, I'd have to get up at 5 :D

Well Dan doesnt believe anymore hasnt done for a while but I would put the presents from us under the tree and santas went out as usual but we never wrapped Santas presents he doesnt have the time to stand and wrap all the childrens presents !!! Lol
