Hello Ladies. I've been lurking around this board for awhile reading as much info as I can. Here's my story. I am 25, just got married last month and have been TTC since Nov. I was on BCP for about 5 yrs (ortho-tri-cyclen lo) which I stopped taking at the end of Oct. I had my first period coming off BC in Dec. (the 11th) from then my periods went as follows:
jan 11
jan 28
feb 28
mar 28
I have not had anything since then. I recently went to Planned Parenthood (since I'm in the process of getting health insurance through DH's job) They took 3 vials of blood from me. Then called me a week later with these results:
blood pregnancy-negative
TSH-Normal
Prolactin-Normal
LH- elavated in comparison to FSH.
They told me that those results are indicative of PCOS and that the only thing their office could do for me was put me back on BCP. TTC, obviously I do not want to go back on BCP so I have to wait for my health insurance to go through so I can visit another GYN.
But, this whole thing is driving me crazy. I have no other signs of PCOS. I'm just wondering if this sounds like a viable assumption to you ladies or could it just possibly be an irregular cycle? I'm stressing my self out over this whole situation and would appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thank you in advance!
