Hi, I'm new. I'm 20 and I found out that I'm probably pregnant!
I've not had a period for 2 months (normaly regular), I took a test about a month ago but it was negative so I just forgot about it, then I got the flu, it lasted 3 weeks! so I didn't notice any symptoms because I was feeling so ill.
I literally slept for 2 days, and when I got up, I felt like I was going to be sick, all day, but I never was, by boobs have got a size bigger (normally A-cup so imagine the happinesS!) they also hurt.
That was a week ago now, and I don't feel as sick, but doing anything *ANYTHING* is such an effort, I can't get up in the mornings I've spent hours asleep when normally I cant stand being inactive. I keep getting cramps that feel like period cramps but no period, a trusted friend whos got kids says its a told. I do want a test but I havent been able to get out of the house, I get dizzy and just want to crawl into bed.
Is this normal? I see pregnant women walking around all the time.
I got to work the other day only to sit down and promptly leave I felt so drained!!
I'm happy if I'm pregnant, but how am I supposed to live like this?

Sorry for the long post... if anyone has any advise about that I'll be so happy, or just to know that others feel the same.

xxx

You learn to deal with it, trust me! :) And, the symptoms die down eventually (so I'm told, but I'm still waiting!)

Dear...I am totally feeling the exact same way. I was usually a SUPER hyper active person but now I'm like a slob...I just feel DRAINED. Can hardly find the energy to cook myself something to eat!!?
I am ALWAYS dizzy and the nausea comes and goes. The only way to deal with it is to realize that is just your body's response to the pregnancy. It's SUPPOSE to be this way but that you will get your old self back. They tell me that the energy will come back and you will eventually start to get control of your body again.

So the only advice I have for you is the same thing that I tell myself-take it one day at a time and realize that you won't feel this way forever.

Hope that helps?!

Definitely take a test to make sure. And see your doctor, because they will have advice to give you about making the sickness more bearable, and medicine that does the trick. Also, you should be starting on some kind of vitamin, pre-natal if you can handle it, or some kind of complete multi vitamin if not. Even if you are quite sure, take a test, and start acting pregnant now. (i.e. trying to eat as healthy as possible, not drinking if you do, and changing any meds you take if they aren't ok for baby).

Good luck hun! Hope you get the answer you are hoping for!!

OH! And the really bad symptoms definitely wear off for the most part in 2nd tri. Some stay, and some still come and go for me, but the worst is over now. You'll get thru it. :hugs:

Oh gosh I know how you feel. Doing anything can be a pain! The other day I nearly vomitted from going up a flight of stairs. :( Some days I just want to sleep b/c I don't feel good. I get the occasional cramps, which I much prefer the cute fluttery feelings to cramps! At least my boobs aren't so sore right now. I say right now b/c it comes and goes.

Like 1sttimemom, sometimes I don't have the energy to cook. When I do cook it's mashed potatoes with applesauce on the side. I used to cook so healthy, now I only want to go out to eat cuz i don't wanna cook! Part of the reason is that healthy foods i like (broccoli, brown rice) baby don't like.

I definietly know how you feel. I am SO TIRED all the time, I'm so sick that I haven't cleaned (poor DH) or cooked more than twice since I found out I was PG. It's awful, but they SAY it'll go away and get better. Here's hoping!

I agree with BurtonBaby--start doing things like you are pregnant esp start taking prenatal or flinstone vitamins as well as take a test and schedule a gyn appointment. It isvery common to be extremely tired during the first trimester. It usually gets better around 12-14 weeks gestation.

I would take a test, you might be suffering from the back end of your flu.

If you are pregnant, congratulations and the symptoms do die off. My tiredness and sickness is going away now, I thought Id never see the end of it!

Thanks for your replies!
The test was possitive!
I'm still having a really hard time doing Anything... I hope that ends soon :)
Just thought I'd let you know
luv xxx

Wishing you all the best for the next 9 months :)

Now get thee to a doctor! :)

:crib:

I have been queasy and super tired lately too. The only thing that calms my tummy is Ginger Ale, 7UP or Sprite (which I never drink pop, but here lately I drink it to calm my belly). I try to go to bed earlier and take naps whenever possible (it helps). I have only worked out once since I found out about being pg. My boobs are sore and getting bigger too (not cool for the chesty girls, lol!!) I'm hoping that things get better and start to feel like myself again. I hope you get to feeling better soon as well. Everyone's body responds to things differently. Congrats on your bump.
