I am new here and have a couple questions...

I went off birth control on July 26 and immediately started taking my BBT so I could make sure that I had begun ovulating again. I ovulated on August 14 and had some light (but red) bleeding August 25-27 (starting at 11 dpo). Before the bleeding, I had had breast pain, some light cramping, some naseau and periods of dizziness. I thought that this would all go away after I had my period, but after a week, it still hasn't. In some cases, such as with the breast pain, it has only gotten worse. I took a hpt on August 31, thinking the bleeding might have been implantation bleeding...bfn.

So, my questions:
1. After going off bc, has anyone experienced pms like symptoms through the ENTIRE cycle?
2. Has anyone experienced red impantation bleeding that lasts a couple days?
3. If it was implatation bleeding, it is possible I tested too soon? If yes, when should I try to test again?

Normally, you're supposed to test when you're late, but cycles after bc can be a little messed up:/ It's hard to advise you anything, but having pms for the whole cycle is a bit weird. I would consult a doc if I were you just to be sure you're fine. Of course you can test again, though I'd go to a specialist to get more reliable info.

Hi hun,

Yes to feeling grumpy and out of sorts when you come off of birth control. Can take different amounts of time with different people - Although when I came off I felt a whole lot better than being on it!

My implantation bleed was a drop or two of brown and not red - I'm not sure about that. It could be a very light 1st period or withdrawal bleeds. In any case I'd go to the dr if you're unsure/worried.
