Quinn - Girl or boy?

ive heard of it for girls on One Tree Hill and Glee but there is a character in the Sookie Stackhouse books (Trueblood) called Quinn and he is definately a boy

We've got Quinn on our names short list for boy or girl. OH see's it as a boys and I see it as both!

I think it's adorable as a girl's name, but I don't like it for a boy.

I've seen books and shows with Quinn as a girl, so I definitely don't think it's a boys only name.

I love it for a boy. I wanted to name my boy that but my OH thinks it's a girls name!

quinn has traditionally been a last name. it has been a semi-popular (though not really) man's name for maybe 50 years, but has only surfaced as a woman's name in probably the last 10-15 years, in the US anyway. i would consider it part of that wave of unisex names in the 80s/90s. I remember knowing girls named Douglas, Kyle, Ryan, Blake, etc.
