I posted in LTTC/AC but no replys

Anyway, I met with my consultant today to discuss RMC. My bloods, our genetic bloods, Thyroid (even though its been removed) are all fine so basically there is no medical reason for my RMC.

Told him I was pregnant again and cramping like MC cramps. He says I have an increased chance of MC again since I've not allowed my body to heal and he got the nurse to take my bloods to check HCG levels. Asked if he thought my eggs were to old (I'm thirtyeight) he says not till I'm 42!!!!!! just felt fobbed off and I'm currently RAGIN.COM, so much so I came home and went straight to my bed :hissy:

I've to take asprin and they will monitor me at 7, 9 & 12 weeks and that's about it. God I've spent months reading on the internet (naughty I know ) looking for answers, no mention of the stuff I've read about, ie Natural Killer Cells, crap sperm, testing of eggs if you're older.

So for me girls, I'm going private just for a consultation with a guy who runs the Glasgow Reproductive Medicine Centre, it might be worth a 2nd opinion and it will only cost me £155. If this consultant suggests anything different then I can see him on the NHS at another hospital.

Rant over!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just off the phone to EPU, my HCG levels are down to 10, which isn't a surprise due to all the cramps I've been getting. Seeing my private consultant on the 27th Feb so I just need to remain focused

Good luck with everything! I really hope it all works out!! BABY DUST TO YOU!!!!

if they havent found anything i dnt see y ud m/c again unless there is a reason they havent found.. unforchantly they cnt find it if ur preg.. hopefully this pregnancy will go well xx

Oh hun, sorry for you losses too!

I'm 38 and am fortunate to have a 13 year old son. My new husband (not that I've had many ) doesn't have kids so I'm now feeling a bit of a failure. I need to remain positive and hopefully, I can get more answers.

Geezo, hun! Since im in Glasgow too, who did you see? And i too am 38 btw (well, 39 in 3 weeks, eek! :)) Im seeing Sister Byrne at the Queen Mums?

Ive got my apmt for the results next week. Have you read 'is my body baby friendly' by Dr Beer? He was like the expert on recurrent mc and his clinic is still going strong in Chicago and takes referrals from all over the world, he's on the web too... https://repro-med.net/

Anywhoo, let me know ok...im very anxious about next week as i just wanna get back to ttc again! :) I was told not to get pg under any circumstance as i wouldnt keep the pg without treatment..a bit scary. She said due to my history she suspects a blood clotting disorder. But i know her hunch is not enogh until the tests show something..

I wish you all the best, chicken...its a hard slog/life/game, isnt it? ..thinking of you though..:hugs:

Hi Omi,

I was at Dr Quinn, RAH in Paisley. I'm going private with a Dr Guadion, he owns this centre in Cardonald https://www.gcrm.co.uk/

I'm seeing him for a 2nd Opinion and my doctor has agreeded to ref me on the NHS to him. He works the Southern General and the Glasgow Vicotria.

My Appoinment is on the 27th Feb (would have seen him sooner but due to work commitments I cant).

Good luck with your appointment and don't forget to let me know how you get on.

:hugs:

I'm not sure if this helps, but a friend of mine who had 2 miscarriages on the trot started reflexology treatment. She had one session, got pregnant again and is due ay day now. May just be a coincidence but it may also be £30 well spent!!

Hi Orange Lady,

I've been getting Acupuncture and Reflexology since my Jan MC which is fantastic and very relaxing however, my body is to pots, chemical in nov, pregnant in Dec which MC in Jan (blighted ovum) then fell pregnant again.

So my plan of action is to still continue with this alternative therapy along with herald tablets I got from Jan De Friese. Along with a break so I'll be fitting fit when I start TTC again.

I know what you are saying. I also have children. DD 20, DD 17, and DS 16. This is my second marriage and my husband and I have been together for 9 years and he doesn't have any children either. I had my tubes tied in 1999, but in 2007 we decided to get them reversed (after talking and saving for 6 years) so in April 2007 i had a tubal reversal. I didn't get my first :bfp: until Feb 15, 2008. My next came June 23 then Oct 7. I am on my 3rd doctor as I just didn't feel like I was getting the quality of care I deserved. I hope that you are able to get some more answers soon with your new doctor. Good luck!
