Hi Ladies,
We are currently feeding DS a combination of expressed breast milk and ready-to-feed formula. DH did the last feed before going to bed. I woke up with DS about an hour ago for his next feed and found that DH had left an opened bottle of the ready-to-feed formula on the counter. We typically pour from the packaged bottle into feeding bottles, and store the leftovers in the fridge. I did the math - it looks like the formula was out of the fridge for just under 3 hours. Would it be ok to feed the rest of this bottle to DS or should I discard it? Of course I don't want to put DS' health at risk, but just curious what the real difference could be between a bottle that was left out for 2 hours vs. one that was left out for 2 hours and 50 minutes. Any information would be helpful.

I have done this before, and it was perfectly fine!! I wouldn't make a habit of it though just in case!! x

Personally I would throw it away, its better to be safe than sorry
