We've had our real Christmas tree in the living room for about 2 weeks now and I've noticed I've had an increasingly worse sore throat and eyes are stinging too for the past week
Looked it up online and it says it can be mould spores coming from the tree 😩
Now I can cope with the sore throat but I'm worried breathing in the mould can be harmful for baby?
Does anyone have any experience of this?
Thanks xx

I hadn't a clue sorry, but I have tried to look online for you...and still don't have any answe. I'd call your midwife and ask X

Iv read that they do produce mould but its jus know to trigger allergies hence your eyes and throat
It doesnt say anywere about safety

It does say wipe down teee with one part bleach 20 part water to clean mould off

Well get oh to do it for you xx

Thank you for looking and responding
I've come upstairs now to bed but will get OH on it tomorrow!

Keep trying to tell myself it's fine as how many pregnant women are around real trees (and prob much worse!!) but just worry
I've also ordered an air purifier as a precaution
xx

Bit of an update, think I have tonsillitis and that's what's causing the problems! Perks of working with young children eh but I'm glad it's prob not the tree!
Also DH has examined the tree and no signs of mould
Xx

Good -bad news hun xx

Get better soon xx
