I'm just wondering if any of you have support groups in your area. I've searched for them right after the miscarriage and now that I'm pregnant again too. The hospital where I delivered offer a miscarriage support group and a pregnancy after loss group. But those are the only ones I've seen in my whole area (kansas city)! I've looked at other support groups that are offered around town, at churches and community center s and libraries, etc....they have almost anything you could think of...divorce care , death of a spouse, eating disorder, drug recovery, anxiety/depression, etc. But nothing for pregnancy loss. I don't understand! If it's so common, why are we not talking about it more and helping each other through it?! How do we make talking about this less taboo?

Are there groups where you live?

It's really sad isn't it? But I think you hit the nail on the head, for whatever the reason miscarriage is still a taboo topic in our society, when it really shouldn't be. I really believe that the view on abortion especially has tainted miscarriage for us as a society, so many people can't and won't view mc as a real loss when how could they when its constantly being shoved down our throats that a baby is not a baby until sometimes 24 weeks or later and that even then, if that baby is an inconvenience to mom then it's ok to murder that baby  it's really sad but it's hard for people to grasp how painful mc is when society teaches it's ok to kill babies :(
