Hi ladies!

I just posted in the TWW forums and keep bumping my thread but there are still no replies after a few days and Google's not much help, either.

My questions are:

1) What are your periods like (if you've gotten your period again) after baby/breastfeeding? I.E., are they totally crazy and make you think you're pregnant only to turn out to just be another wacky hormonally weird AF?

2) If you've had weird cycles since baby/breastfeeding, when did they start to get back to normal, (if they ever did get back to normal, that is)?

My son is a little over 18 months, we weaned at 15 months, I had my period one cycle before we officially weaned totally at 15 months, so I've had four cycles.

I had 1 chemical pregnancy the second cycle after getting my period back and then the three other cycles I've been utterly convinced I was pregnant because of the symptoms I thought were totally unmistakable pregnancy symptoms but ended up just being another weird AF.

THIS cycle that I'm in the middle of right now AGAIN has me convinced that there's at least a good chance that I'm pregnant again, and I'm trying to remain skeptical so I don't get fooled again, but it's not working so well, because this cycle I'm experiencing something I didn't experience in any of the previous cycles since getting my period back and that is my breasts getting larger, heavier, and very sensitive (this basically never happens to me) It basically makes me feel like when your boobs are on the verge of having a clogged duct and feels engorged but isn't actually engorged. It's infuriating because I feel like even though this and other symptoms have me wondering AGAIN if I could be pregnant, I'm probably just headed right for another AF.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE any insight any of you ladies could share with me on your post-baby and breastfeeding periods!!! Any information will be helpful!

Unfortunately my cycles have been totally all over the place since they came back (at 13 months PP). Most often they come late (I've had 45 day cycles) but a couple of times its come early (I once got my period 2 weeks after the last one ended!). I stopped breastfeeding almost 7 months ago and they're still not normal. :( They've been pretty close for the past 2 months but I'm definitely not counting on it staying that way.

I do actually feel a bit engorged a week or two before my period shows up which never happened to me pre-breastfeeding. It's very frustrating! I've spent an absurd amount of money on pregnancy tests just to have a period that comes 10 days late.

Hi

My periods have always started 4 weeks after birth. Full time breastfeeding. My babe is nearly 15 mths still feeding her. Periods come around every 26 days with her. Previous births every 31 days so this one is different for me. I am a lot older now so that might have something to do with it.

Good luck.

My period started at 9 months pp while still exclusively breastfeeding. They started every 5 weeks for the first few and have been every 4 weeks since. I have no idea while I am even having periods since my dd still feeds every hour through the night! Oh and yes every month just before my period I feel crazy and depressed and I get cramps twinges in boobs just like when I first got Oregon. In fact my period is due tomorrow and I'm convinced I'm pregnant lol

I got my first one at 8.5 months pp - it was relatively normal. The second was light and short. The third was absolutely awful - heavy and lasted nearly a month, on and off ... but mostly on. Since then, though, they have been normal.

None were especially early or late that I noticed. I just had flow problems lol.

This happens to me too. My nipples are constantly erect for nearly two weeks and I have that itchy engorged feeling but I'm not pregnant (I have a hormonal coil) but I keep having to test just incase!
