I'm really really confused by my cycles. My last 2 cycles were 45 and 27 days long. Typically they are around 30-35 days. I have been off bc since sept so i don't think that's a factor anymore. During my 45 day cycle I got positive opk on cd 26 & 27. Last cycle (27 days) I did not get a positive opk at all. This cycle I have gotten a positive opk on cd28 and only for one day. Did actually ovulate if it's only positive for 1 day? The day I got the positive I held my pee for 8 hours without drinking anything (not on purpose lol) and the next day I only held for 4 hours and I had a cup of coffee. And of course I'm away from my hubby when I got my pos opk :( and we were so tired from bd the 2 weeks before that we hadn't bd for 4 days before the pos. my ff and other app both still say I O'd on cd 19. Any thoughts would be helpful! I'm assuming we are out for this cycle though. Ugh. I hate having long irregular cycles!

Do you have your charts on hand? That might provide some insight.

As far as the OPKs go, you dont need to have more than one positive. Some people get more than one, others dont. In fact, they tell you to stop taking them after a positive anyway. So, if you got a positive, then you definitely O'd.

Also, when it comes to that 27 day cycle, you can't really have a period without ovulating first. You can have some estrogen bleeding that can be confused with a period, which is just your lining not maintaining itself.

How long have you been TTC? Since September? I would suggest seeing a doc about the irregular cycles. You can go see an OBGYN but I personally think REs (reproductive endocrinologists) are better. Some won't see you until you've been trying for one year but others, like mine, will see you if you have issues like an irregular cycle. But REs are fertility specialists and make pregnancy their number one goal, while OBs arent as focused on that.

I'm not charting....I found it added to my stress levels although now with this issue it probably wouldn't have mattered :/

Yes we have been actively trying since October. Thanks for your advice :) I had an appt last month to see a doctor but ended up canceling it because I felt silly because I didn't know if my issues were "worth" being seen for.

I've also had brown cm today, which could fit with the ovulation yesterday theory. I don't know anymore! I will def be seeing a doc here soon! I'm not sure if my small city has any REs but I have heard of a good obgyn that helps with fertility. Thanks!!
