Really Nervous

Hi Everyone,
I am 12 weeks pregnant and have my first scan next Tuesday, I am so nervous about it !!
Really worryed about the baby being ok to the point where its making me sick.

Any advice please ????

I was having an early scan on Monday, and I was petrified and expecting the worst (I bled a tiny bit and panicked) but everything turned out fine! And I got to see Beans heartbeat!

There's nothing much you can do except be positive but your mind will be making you expect the worst which will make it even better when you find out everything is fine!

I know how you feel. I didn't have a 12 week scan, I had it at 9 weeks and was told literally the day before so there was no time to worry but I was a wreck before my triple test and my 20 week scan. Even now I have to really fight back the worry.

I don't have much advice other than to take comfort in the fact it's very normal to worry. You're not alone!

I feel the same and my scan is on friday. Part of me is so scared and the other part really excited.

I was scared my first scan too (didn't actually think I was going to get a scan until my OB sent me for a dating ultrasound). It really is the most amazing feeling in the world though to see your baby on the screen. Good luck! I'm sure everything will turn out well.

Most of us go thru this, it is just pure anxiety hun. Just try to rationalise how many girls go for scans and come back on cloud 9 - you only have to read thru this forum!

i'm the same right now, my first scan is on the 13the feb i'm very anxious/nervous to know all is ok with baby. Hope yours goes well, good luck!

Don't worry. lol I was a nervous wreck till I had my u/s last week. And now I'm a nervous wreck again because I'm going for a follow up on Tuesday.

Hmmmm advise. A friend I secretly told bout the pregnancy. (heck I couldn't handle all the lies!) told me when I was telling him how petrified I was that something would be wrong.

"There ISN'T anything wrong DAMMIT! Stop worrying now! You have to believe that it's all fine! And be excited not scared dammit!"

LOL

Nothing like a little pep talk to set me straight hehehehe.

I've bled twice this pregnancy, and had my 12 week scan on Tuesday. Baby is perfectly healthy. Don't worry I'm sure you'll do fine

H Everyone,
Went for my scan today, all is well baby looked amazing!!
They put me forward ho which im a bit confused about, i thought i was 12 weeks + 5 but she says im 13 weeks + 2, not sure how that works with my period and things.
