I've noticed that since my last miscarriage (about a month ago) I have been feeling really tired, I also seem to have put on loads of extra tummy fat on my upper tummy too which is getting me down.

but I have no energy to get up and do things. I also find when I am tired, I can fall asleep really quickly. I'm "okay" about the actual miscarriage (as this one wasnt so bad, but back in January it was worse and was my first so more of a shock) but even as i write this i am knackered. I had 9 hours sleep last night, more than usual.

:coffee:

The extra weight is a worry though and the stretch marks are bad too (using bio oil so hopefully will work) but am very aware i need to exercise but dont feel i have it in me, and that's not an excuse, i feel so tired. Is this all part of the hormones or what?

Hi, sorry for how you're feeling. I think if you were to exercise you would probably feel less tired and more energised, I'm a firm believer that exercise is good for the mind as well as the body. Give it a go!!!! X

Hi lve started to just try going for little walks when l feel l want too trying not to put to much pressure on myself and do what l feel when l feel, like you l lost my first at new year l was only a couple of months each time but my little pot belly just seems to love hanging around. I was told if its any help that when you try to come to some sort of understanding with your grief and learn to live with things (easier said than done) that thats when your tummy goes. Hope this helps xx

My gosh, I know what you mean! I'm trying on clothes today, changing over to my autumn stuff, and everything's too tight around the middle, I hate it! I was always thin with a flat tummy, but after 3 m/c's, no more...It gets worse in the afternoon, too. I like Robbo1's idea that it passes when the grief, etc, passes, but it doesn't seem to have worked...bummer. My last m/c was on the 13th, the tiredness is passing a little, but I still fall asleep watching tv much earlier than I used to, maybe something to do with the change in weather as well? Personally, I chalk it up to the hormones, it always takes me some months to get back to feeling like "me", with more energy and desire to exercise and get on with things. Did it happen to you after your last one too??

I've put on about 5lbs since my miscarriage and have recently started exercising and it is doing wonders for me emotionally and physically. I never feel like going but once I get there I'm happy I am. It really could help you!

Maybe it will take awhile for your body to loose the weight and feel better your hormones are likely still adjusting to the change. I find jogging each day and drinking tons of water will help flush out fat it will take a few weeks.

I hope this helps

I am very sorry for your loss. It can be you may have a Thyroid problem? I had all those symptoms, I exercised all the time and would not loose weight and I was extremely tired, i thought I was going through a depression that is how bad it was. It ended up being my thyroid, this was 5 yrs ago but now I am on medication (Harmless to the baby should you get pregnant, synthroid is it called) just go get a blood test just to rule it out, but it could be your thyroid.
Good Luck xoxoxo :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I agree with andypanda (hi!) and was going to suggest myself -- I lost over two stone by healthy eating, etc., after having had an m/c in August 2009 (over a year, not anything drastic) and went to my GP, complaining about sluggishness, etc., and fortunately, was doing pre-IVF bloods, and we discovered I had an underactive thyroid. And was able to get pregnant naturally the next month after having appropriate meds, so maybe check that before you get too stressed!

best wishes

interesting, I've just had bloods all tested for everything again, and all clear - apart from the pregnancy hormone (again the only way I knew I was pregnant). First time was 124 this time was just 7 so suggests an earlier one this time. Will get on the treadmill at lunch and watch more House to keep me going!
