Really Want My VBAC

Feeling like crap a little bit! My doctor isnt on call some days and if he isn't there when I go into labor they might try and make me have a c-section. The other on call doctors don't support VBACS, so I don't know what would happen if I refused a c-section. It makes me get a little down on myself every time my doctor says something about it. I just want to see what my body is capable of as with my first I wasn't even given the chance to try and birth naturally! I don't usually get upset about things, but this one just bums me out! Have any of you ladies experienced anything like this before, and if I refuse a c-section from the doctor what would happen? I just don't feel the need to have one if I can labor naturally, I feel like its not fair to me!

I understand - I can't see why you could not refuse a c section its your body- but is there a way that maybe you and your Dr can throughly have a coversation about this so he understands your true desire to have a TOLAC and VBAC? DO you have a birth plan? I know its kind of late- but what about a mid wife in your area that has done and has experience in VBAC? Honestly above all of this -it looks like you gave birth in 2010- there really shouldnt be a reason why they cannot atleast let you attepmt it. Ask your Dr what the pros and cons are if you go against medical advise. Is it that these Dr's that may be on call do not support it or do they not have any experience? Thank You! He said it was because one of the doctors had a bad experience with a VBAC patient, she ruptured and had to have a complete hysterectomy. But I would hate for it to come to that, because I will refuse one if they just try and make me go straight for a c-section! The other doctors are afraid of them he says, I'm just hoping I go into labor when he's there, so I can avoid all conflict!
