I was hoping to get my hubby a tracker thing for chrismas. As you can tell in not very clued in on these. 😁 He has recently started doing some running and I'm looking for something to track his distance and time. Doesn't have to be massively technical as he's not exactly at marathon distances (just yet 😛) but at the same time I want something reliable. Hoping some of you ladies might be more clued in than me. Thank you!

I would say the fitbit flex. Seems awesome. Not cheap though xx

I have the fitbit charge hr it's brilliant

A pedometer isn't going to be useful and I wouldn't recommend the FitBit Flex as I don't find it to be accurate (I have one but it isn't any use for my running). I currently use the built in tracker on my Zombies Run, other run apps you use with a smart phone such as Run Keeper are more helpful that the FitBit Flex (the Charge may be better).

If it is any help to you I am asking for this watch for Christmas https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-For...7087515&sr=8-2&keywords=garmin+forerunner+220 They do men's styles as well.

The Garmin Forerunner series is supposed to be good and it meets my requirements.

If that was more than you wanted to spend may you could consider other running themed presents, I am a new runner as well and would love to get running gear presents.

Things you could consider are:
Socks, I like More Mile ones but you can look at various types of Amazon and read the reviews.
Safety stuff, mornings are getting darker and being seen is a must, I have just brought reflective wristbands.
A waist pack for small items like phone and keys.
A decent water bottle.
Vouchers towards some trainers, he will need to get fitted properly at a specialist sports shop.
Nice headphones if he uses music while running.
Cold weather running gear because it is soon going to be freezing!
An armband for his phone/iPod if he is using GPS, it works better that way than in a pocket.
Funny running t-shirts related to his interests, I have one that says 'Run like Fox Mulder is waiting for you at the finish line'. A site called Look Human is great for them but they ship from America so you would need to order soon.
