My husband wants a backpack/rucksack type carrier for when he's looking after Jack. I have a Sleepy Nico (buckled mei tai), but I guess that's not manly enough! He's seen a type where the baby is on the back, facing the same direction as the parent. Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for this type of carrier? Thanks!

Only half an hour left on this one. Any good?

We are getting an Ergo carrier. They are pretty rustic and manly... Not very pretty for us girls but they are suspose to be excellent!

we have the mothercare 3 way carrier. Bought it in the last sale.

Cos it is black and gray, it is 'manly' enough for hubby to wear!!

I got a fab one from kiddicare, it's a baby weavers and atm it's got £120 quid off at £40! I'd highly recommend I love ours there's a pic in babywearing thread xx

Thanks, all! I really like the look of the Ergo, personally. I showed him all of them, but he said what he'd seen had metal bars on it? The search continues!

He's probably looking at hiking/frame pack carriers like Kelty Kids do. Personally, I don't think they look very comfortable unless you're actually hiking!

Here's my Ergo. It's popular with men because it comes in less flashy colours and you can purchase a waist extender. You can wear it in all other carry styles.

We have a framed carrier, and although it's bulky, it is very comfy :) My LO loves it too, as it puts her higher up than most non-framed carriers, so she can see lots more. Ours is a Chicco one, we got it in Kiddicare in their better-than-half-price sale. It's my husband's toy, tbh, I tend to grab my Papoozle or mei tai first  Bless him, he was soooo desperate for her to get to 6 months to be able to use it. He kept bringing out out and sitting her in it, then saying to me "Look, she's fine!"

Yeah the one I posted is a framed carrier and it's really comfy we love it xx

We have a macpac koala, it's fab and is made by a rucksack specialist company so they know what they're talking about!

I like the Ergo, but DH wasn't keen. I think the Chicco was nice as well. But I think one of the LittleLife ones is what we'll go for. Not sure which yet though.

The little life are a good make with a good resale value and the pretty pics by babys face are cute too!
