I have been having issues lately and been in the hospital a bit for pre eclampsia, hydronephrosis, preterm labor symptoms..got steroid shots and everything a few days ago I was 1-2 cm, 50% effaced, soft cervix & -2 station. My son was early (34 weeks my water broke) well last night and today I have been having some serious pelvic pain, and now extreme rectal preasure!! No regular contractions or braxton hicks though, but I am nervous that this could mean impending labor?? how long can rectal pressure last before labor starts? Is this just normal for 33 weeks 3 days? advice is definitely appreciated!!! :)

Anyone have any ideas? Feeling really weird today with some contractions here and there and pressure still. just wondering if this is normal or not

Im not really sure hun. I think maybe because baby is so low already she might be pushing on your bits. I don't recall having rectal pressure until labour, could feel like jabs to that area prior but not constant pressue.

I've had some rectal pressure with this one. It feels awful, I've had it every once in a while since about 28 weeks and no baby for me yet! I don't think she's coming any time soon either.

Thank you ladies!! As much as I would love to meet her it is way too early and I still have so much to do lol. Makes me feel much Bette knowing it doesn't automatically mean labor is near!

I have the same pressure...and i found out today (32 weeks) that baby is head down. I feel him moving super low, so I think its just because their heads put pressure down there. I don't think I am anywhere near going into labor. I was induced at 38 weeks with my daughter bc of pre eclampsia.

If you've already had issues with possible premature labor I wouldn't rest assured with everyone's answers personally. I think you need to be seen by your dr and assessed. I would just hate for you to lean on everyone's answers and then it end up being something else and not being able to do anything about it. I'd personally get seen again!

I had my baby girl at 34 weeks! Pre eclampsia hit very quickly and I was induced. I was at 3 cm though, 75% effaced so the pressure could have meant impending labor but I guess I will never know lol

Dont take a chance go in and get assessed esp with preterm labor xx

Oh wow....congratulations on your baby girl. I just read this as I've been getting pressure too. I hope you an baby are doing well x
