Rectovaginal fistula??

Anyone deal with this? I had my baby over 2 years ago. Lately I have noticed symptoms of a fistula. It's not good. I was in labour for 37 hours before getting an EMCS. I think that the prolonged time my ds was stuck in birth canal may have caused a fistula. Kinda weird that I didn't notice or it didn't develop till 2 years later. Anyone else have this? Have u had more children while dealing with a previous fistula? Csections from now on?

First of all, get checked out by your medical professional. If you suspect a fistula, get some confirmation on it, and then ask your doctor where to go from there for subsequent births. From my not-so-expert opinion, I would say that the development of a fistula would make you an excellent candidate for c-sections from here on out...

I've had a rectovaginal fistula since before my first birth. I was told I didn't need a c-section. I had a rough labor and delivery and baby was stuck in the birth canal for a long time but it somehow didn't make my fistula worse. I'm now about to have my second and my new doctor also says a vaginal birth is fine.

I saw my doctor today and she confirmed my pregnancy she also had a look"down there" and couldn't see anything. I'm getting referred to a gyno now to get checked again. She did agree that I should perhaps have another section. DS was 9lbs 1oz. Big baby

Congrats on your pregnancy well if you do decide to go for a vbac, I'm happy to report I've just had a second vaginal birth with no fistula complications.
