Reed? Reid?

I think I like the name Reed, or Reid. I'm leaning toward middle name Everett. Which spelling do you prefer and do you like the name?

Actually we did pick Everett first, My fear is that people would call him Evie. Is that irrational?
Ds is Quinn and when people call him Quinny my skin crawls..
Is there a way to shorten Everett to hopefully avoid that?
