Refused sale of calpol?

But you are buying a bottle of calpol not a bottle of vodka. why do you need to look 25 to buy your child medicine? its ridiculous!!

Also what if parent hasn't any id?

I've been ID'd for Calpol before in Asda because I didn't look 16..Even though I had my son with me. I did have my drivers licence with me though and she felt a bit stupid when she read I was 22. I understand it's just their job, but some of the restrictions at supermarkets are getting ridiculous. Like when I was going abroad last year I always take medications in my suitcase just in case, and because I had bought Calpol and Calprofen they wouldn't let me buy a pack of ibuprofen tablets because I had 'too much' :dohh:

I'm 25 and still get id'd for the lottery (when. I can be bothered or remember to do it) I've never been id'd for Calpol though, but I did get id'd for paracetamol in Sainsburys a few years ago. I always get my id out and ready but I very rarely get asked now as I usually have the kids with me when I go shopping.
