Regarding DDs room when shes older...how old is old enough?

to move her downstairs? We have ground level and then a finished basement. LO is 7 months now so I know Im thinking way a head but when is old enough to move her to the basement. Her room is right across from ours right now but hubby said when shes like 6 or 7 she can move downstairs. But I dont know if I trust a 6 or 7 year old downstairs. In our downstairs there is a wood burning stove, all of hubbies hobby stuff, the laundry room idk just doesnt seem like a place a 6 or 7 year old needs to be wandering around..I thought maybe once she was like 10 or so...what do you think?

I would wait until she is a bit older and see what she is like when she is six or seven. Some kids would probably be ok and others might not be. You will know at the time if it is the right move or not.
