Reply from Tescos regarding the incresed price of Aptamil

when you guys emailed, what address have you emailed to?
i'd like to voice my complaint as well :)
i've already had a complain to a train company who are being tosspots about me being delayed & then being made to stand for 3 hours with bella in a sling!
xx

i couldnt find a complaint section so i emailed customer enquiries.

Your back must have been killing you!

It has gone up in morrisons too - the cartons are 66p now!!

Thanks for that! I have stopped using aptamil as of last week, I changed from aptamil follow on milk to cow and gate and lo didnt notice AT ALL!! It was considerably cheaper as evrything looks the same, even the scoop, I think they are made by the same people!! xx
Yep same company. Just a few towns away from me x

And if you plough through the ntrition values and ingredients list you will see that they are both virtually identical!

You'd think though if that were the case and as
other supermarkets have seem to done, that Tesco would have a big enough profit margin to absorb a massive chunk of the cost?

Ive heard theyre exactly the same too: its just that they put they made aptamil more expensive because lots of people will buy the most expensive product because they presume its the best! Cunning little buggers!

You should email the companies too and ask them has it increased. alot of mums here in ireland did this a few yrs back and found the manufacturers hadnt increased the price only the super markets which didnt go down to well with the public

I did that. If they dont get back by tomorrow then i'll call them!

My friend was contracting for them a while back and she said that although they are made by the same company, they most certainly are not the same product.

I used Aptamil First til Anna was 6 months then switched to SMA follow-on as I got tins for £3 using the tesco double up vouchers. Anna has been on several different milks now (she will be 1 tomorrow!) and she has never noticed the difference!

I would be boycotting Aptamil!:flower:

I brought Aptamil comfort today from Waitrose.
9.36!x

I had noticed the price had gone up in Morrisons the other day but Boots was the same so I know where I'll be buying mine from now on!
I was thinking of buying a load in case they all put the prices up :-/

I think they will all end up going up :(
Roll on when Aliyah is a year lol x

We use the Cow & Gate ready made formula. It was always £1.05 in Tesco but went down to £1 about November.

Bought some the other day and it is now £1.22, so it's not just Aptamil that's affected

Fortunately we are in a position where money is not the issue, but a 22% price increase seems a bit OTT.

For me-just Tescos-i'm in SW London. By £0.52p. Makes it £9.99 a kilo vs. £8.42/kg for C and G and £8.47 for Hipp.

that is so seriously bad that you pay so much in london
i live near newcastle and there all the same price £7.24 or something like that!

Really? Crazy!

Babies dont come with "london weighting" unfortunately:winkwink:

In Lancashire where I am it's gone up in Tesco and Morrisons but is the same old price in Boots and Superdrug. I think it'll go up everywhere eventually. Glad that I'm not having to use formula for that much longer. A few pence with inflation etc you expect but 50p is taking the *iss.

I was shocked when I got some in Tesco today. I assumed it was everywhere but will have to check out elsewhere instead. I use follow on so get points, so Boots or Sainsburys will be my next port of call. At least Belle has dropped down to 3 bottles a day now, so each tub will be going that little bit furthur!

I was thinking today how annoying it is you cant get points on formula, its crap.. u get it on other food dont you?
