hi ladies.

i have always made lo bottles i.e boiled the water and put into four bottles. then when he is ready to feed i add the powder and feed straight away.

do you think this is wrong.

should i warm the bottle before i give them to him i.e put them in some hot water for a bit?

be good to hear what everyone else does

I do exactly the same as you Chloe takes it so it must be ok.

I did try heating it up one but as she wasn't used to it she didnt take it.

So handy not having to heat bottles when your out and about x

i read in a baby book that its better to feed room temp bottles coz babies get used to bottles being warm and can refuse to finiah the bottle if it starts to cool down. plus its easier to get them used to room temp for being out and about...u wont have to hunt round for some way of warming the bottle.

i store bottles pre filled with water in the fridge so i do put them in some warm water b4 making them up to get them up to room temp rather than serve them fridge cold tho

relief wasnt sure how i was going to get it all ready if i was suppose to warm the bottles. ha ha when hes hungry he doesnt do WAITif you get my drift!

I do abit of both really!

I tend to do it warmer for bed time as she seems to settle a lot better and through the day its more room temp but i do just put it in hot water to take the edge off it :)

I do the same, make 4 bottles up at a time with boiled water and add the powder when ready to feed. In the hospital, the formula is room temp so iv always given him his milk at room temp too.

xxx

depends how i feel sometimes i heat it up, sometimes room temp and he dosnt seem to mind either way hehe

I do a bit of both. She tends to drink it quicker when it's been slightly warmed, but she will drink at room temp no problem too so most the time it's just room temp. Usually warm one on her last feed, to see if it helps her settle more dunno if it really makes a difference but I do it anyway lol.

We started off at room temp but it just wasn't mixing properly not matter what was done so we heat the bottle very slightly and its much better. Ollie is happy for it to cool and still drink it so going out isn't a problem. Take care :hugs: XX
