Rough sex while pregnant! (yet another embarrassing question by cooney!)

So… I know it’s safe to have sex while pregnant. Buuuutt… rough sex? I mean I don’t know if you would call it rough. I have never bled after sex (Before or during the pregnancy so far) It’s not like were biting and scratching and using whips and chains.. we just get into it? It never hurts me. Maybe just after 3 days in a row if we try to do it again I’m sore but that’s it. He is a little big (tmi!) sooo Would that cause a problem? It’s just since we found out about the baby we can’t keep our hands off each other! But I get worried afterward...

All my scans show my baby is fine. Cervix is closed. No leaking or bleeding anywhere inside or out… and I’m 8 weeks and 4 days. It’s my 1st pregnancy. I'm 20.. I don't know if any of that makes a difference...

If it doesn't cause you any spotting or discomfort, you should be fine. For me, it seemed to cause spotting (not rough, but just sex in general). So my OB put me on a strict "no sex" diet for the next 2 months!

Well, to be specific... this is what the doc said:

"You can have sex as much as you want, just no vaginal intercourse." Unfortunately, OH panicked and decided he was staying far away from me to keep Cub safe. I suppose it is worth it.

Me and DH have sex regulary, one of our favourite positions is the "doggy style" position, usually we have rough sex when doing it in that position but the last time we did it I bled quite alot. We were really worried and didn't have sex for a couple of weeks after that, but now we have gentle sex and I haven't bled once. It may have just be a one off but we're going to avoid that position for a while.

Yeah maybe still have sex but try not to be too rough just incase?

I wasn't allowed sex for most of my pregnancy due to bleeding but if you are not bleeding you should be fine (just take it easy)

Tigerlady - you are a dark horse! As if your Dr told you to only have anal sex - thats classic. Especially in front of OH too, thats asking for trouble!!

I have been on sex ban since my BFP - I am 8 weeks now, and cant be doing anything naughty for a long time yet either... Saying that - am I the odd one out? I appear to have lost my sex drive. Anyone else in my boat? I thought it may be my subconcious as I know we cant do it anyway and didnt want to risk hurting bean, but even if I could, I doubt I would want to.. I am a freak!!

No, I am with you. We have not gotten jiggy with it since getting our (and we used to be pretty frequent....). OH is complaining, but I am firstly not really in the mood (way to tired come evening time) and secondly too anxious about it to really enjoy it.... I think I need to get past the 12 week mark and I will feel better about doing it....

I have also lost my sex drive since getting my BFP! We BD'd the day I had a very feint line but nothing since. We've done other things but not full sex partly because I had a MMC in Jan and I'm terrified of miscarrying again and because of lots of bleeding in the first few weeks, doctor put us on sex ban until 13 weeks!

Poor Hubby is deverstated but I'm happy because I'm so sick and tired all the time!

I'm the same too. At first I was too tired, then too sick and tired but I am also anxious about it which I know is silly. We had done other stuff but that stopped too when I started with the puking.

I lost my sex drive for a couple of weeks but that's all changed now and I can't get enough of it. I wasn't sure how my DH was going to feel about having sex while I was pregnant, I didn't know if he'd go off it because I was carrying his baby and also I thought he'd find the sickness and me moaning about how constipated I was a bit of a turn off, but No I was wrong, he said he still finds me sexy, it must be the massive boobies.

I wouldn't be worried if you are in no discomfort and its not giving you any pain..but if you get pain stop straight away.

I wouldn't say I have lost my drive altogether, as it is still there. However it is a bit diminished. What has been the tough part for me, is that I can't seem to orgasm anymore!!! THAT started in the 2WW! Poor OH was so frustrated that he couldn't get me there anymore. When I got my BFP, I figured that was why and told him so. I don't think he believed me. Poor chap.

Interesting about the bleeding after doggie style. Strangely enough, my worst spotting was after spoons. Hmm.....

as long as you dont bleed or get cramps after you should be fine me and my oh are very very active infact we broke the bed haha

but aslong as yoru comfy and not in pain hun go for it as much as possible you might find you lose your sex drive at a certain point in pregnancy
