So I'm not entirely sure if I need to be worried or not. A few weeks ago while I was using the bathroom (number 1) I got a really bad cramp that ran along my lower abdomen. Pain was 10/10 I got really worried but the pain went away after a few minutes, so I was like "maybe a round ligament" The past few days I've been getting these sharp pains around the front of my hips and in the middle of my pelvis and sometimes down into my cervix. At the most pain is a 7/10. It'll be a stabbing pain for a few minutes then dull into a achy sore feeling then randomly spike back into the stabby pain and back down again. And the whole process lasts about 30 minutes to an hour.

I'm not sure these are round ligament pains anymore and am getting increasingly worried. I told my DH and he said if the pain gets worse than to let him know and we'll go to the hospital. I dk what he means by worse, I assume he means a 10/10 but I like to think I'm a pretty tough girl when it comes to pain and I feel like only a 10/10 would make me cry or something. Which must be why he didn't think it was as bad as it is feeling because I'm kind of just breathing through them at the moment.

I have not had any kind of bleeding whatsoever during my pregnancy so far. I kind of feel like "faking" it in front of my DH since it is still pretty sever pain but i keep telling myself to hold back and I'm probably worrying over nothing again. (Went to er for gallbladder at 6 weeks, felt stupid when they said it wasn't gallstones and probably just a spasm) Plus I have an appointment in 2 weeks with my OB. But I'm so torn on whether or not to go in and get checked out or not. Any help or advice would be wonderful because I'm really freaking out here.

When I was entering my 2 trimester I had horrible cramps and pains. I still get them at 21 weeks, but in new areas. I asked my midwife, she said random aches and pains are normal but always call if im concerned. I recently went through a spell around 18-20 weeks where pee'ing was almost too painful to do. It hurt to pee I would cramp so much. I no longer get that pain. It helped to not sit all the way down and kind of do squats while peeing to ease the pain. I just figure this is a big adjustment for our bodies and being uncomfortable/painful is just a small price to pay. We should expect it at this point, there's less and less real estate in there after each week!

When ever I go see my midwife I bring my monthly sheet of symptoms, all of which so far have been normal. I've felt like I was going to die a few times, but its what we get to endure :) I would say get used to the round ligament pain, do yoga and stretches to help relax.

I just read your other thread about height. I think that has a impact of round ligament pain. If your on the shorter side (I think you said 4'11"?), Your stomach might be doing more stretching than you think.

Thanks for the speedy answers! I'm feeling a bit better. This is my first pregnancy so everything is new and scary lol. I had heard Round Ligament pains only lasted a few seconds which is why I was concerned since mine last for a while before fading off and then are back, sometimes within 20-30 minutes sometimes within hours.

Why don't you just call your ob to let them know what's going one have them make the call on what you should do. That's what I would do anyway.

Spent all day in the ER today, they said it was most likely round ligaments and I had a small UTI which may have effected it. The good thing was I finally got an ultrasound, they had the screen tilted forward so I couldn't see what she was looking at exactly but she walked out to ask a question and I sat up to see the pictures she took. She took a really nice profile shot and I was mad I didn't bring my phone to snap a picture of it but Baby is fine and in the right place. Heart beat is 156, They thought my placenta was covering my cervix but after talking to a specialist said it was too early to tell that.
