Hey ladies, I have a few questions:

1.) I just bought 500 mg Royal Jelly softgels.

*I've been reading about Royal Jelly for a long time and finally remembered to pick some up. I personally haven't talked to anyone that has had success with it but I did just read that it helps conceive girls? DH and I just want a healthy baby and neither of us want to try for one gender or another (even though we both kind of want a little boy hehe) but we aren't trying for one or the other.

2.) I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and I read Selenium helps protect the thyroid and such so I bought 200 mcg tablets of Selenium tonight as well. Has anyone noticed that this has help them or known anyone that had success?

Also, does anyone know any other supplements that may help?

I'm taking A LOT of supplements as I will try just about anything. Royal Jelly is very good at maintaining good egg health apparently, I've never heard that it's good for getting a girl though!

I also take liquid Iron: my levels are low
Maca: a super duper antioxident, but this is v good for DH's sperm also
coq10:not sure why I take this one, just remember reading it's good, haha!
raspberry leaf extract: to help tone my uterus before starting ivf
Cod Liver Oil: more for my skin and to stop wrinkles, lol!
High dose of Vitamin C: to help with the absorbsion of the Iron
And a prenatal multi vit with folic acid etc: just in case I missed anything!

Baby dust ~ selenium is supposed to reduce anti thyroid antibodies. I read a study, in which the women on 200 mg selenium had reduced antibodies and an improved IVF outcome. Btw brazil nuts give more than that per day.

(also if you are anemic and have thyroid issues, you should get checked for celiac, there is a connection with autoimmune thyroid disease and celiac.)

I had my doctor run a gluten allergy test and it came back normal but I really do think I may have it still because I read a few stories that people's test results came back perfectly fine but they still felt sick and after about 1 month of gluten free, they started to feel so much better.

I've found it so hard to cut gluten out of my diet but I'm going to have to try again.

thank you both so much.

I forgot to mention I also take L'Arginine I think it helps with healthy blood flow so gets the uterus ready and healthy for implantation. Think that's everything!

Good luck girls xxx

Hi!

If you are trying to have a boy try taking royal jelly and bee pollen in honey. It is referred to as nature's clomid and does " sway" for a boy. I was taking it the month I got pregnant with my DS. If you look on a website called fertility community dot com, there is a huge thread with women who took it. Loads got bps and most had baby boys.

Good luck!

I'm definitely picking up CoQ10 tomorrow. I used to take vitex but unless my cycles go wonky again (which they shouldn't because my thyroid levels are a lot better, but ya never know, then I'll take it again.)
