My 17 month old has started foot stomping/ running on the spot when he he excited or frustrated.

I've just been told by my miL that its a bad sign...either a temper or 'something more serious' - think she means autism...

I thought this was actually a pretty normal think for kids toddlers to do, but now its in my head I can't get it out!!

Billy does this all the time. Sometimes just because he is bored. It has never even crossed my mind that it could be anything sinister!

Thank you!

I don't know why i let her in my head the woman is a moron- she is nice and she means well, but she is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

She told me hard the 1st two weeks of a babies life are and how lucky I was that I missed out because Nico was in intensive care. She didnt mean any harm and didnt mean she was glad he was ill, but I could have killed her.

She has got me a little obsessed with the autism thing in the past though, and I find myself constantly checking up that things are normal.

This made me laugh :haha: She sounds like a real peice of work! You know she's ridiculous hun. :hugs:

What rubbish! My 2yo does it but its mainly if he's trying to say something I don't quite understand or he wants something but can't ask/reach. With my DS it possibly is a little frustration but at himself as he knows what he's trying to say but can't quite get it out for me to understand! It's all part of the learning process. Xxx

Ciara does this but she does it as part of dancing as well :-). I've never thought it was anything sinister. Just another thing she's learned how to do.
