Well ladies - UPDATE
DH was able to give me a little bit more information. Sperm Count is EXCELLENT, very very high. Mobility is above average. DH is rather proud of himself at these 2 things. There's a lot of minor things, however, that are abnormal (such as quality and viscosity) that is contributing to our infertility. He didn't say that a natural conception was impossible and it's very possible it could still happen naturally but he fully supports and endorses IUI and IVF. He also said based on all the tests he ran on DH that the risk for birth defects and miscarriages would be very low. (Of course that doesn't mean everything is genetically fine on my end but at least that's one less hoop we have to jump through or worry about) His doctor is going to repeat the SA next week.
So, DH and I have decided to do IUI next ovulation!! He's actually really excited about it! He's so cute...he wants to be in the room with me and hold my hand while I'm being inseminated and wants us to take the entire day off!! I told him it wasn't necessary but he insisted.
AND we have decided that we are NOT going to lose hope in TTC naturally. (We have friends that were told they could only conceive through IVF, they had their IVF, had their beautiful twins and later on conceived completely naturally!!) We are still going to have baby making tonight and I'm STILL going to keep monitoring my temp, and STILL get excited in the TWW and STILL record my Obvious Observations a/k/a symptom spot. Because you know what? Doctor's can be wrong. Tests can be wrong. AND just because this one sample was sub-optimal doesn't mean that EVERY SINGLE ejaculate that comes from DH is sub-optimal!! It was just ONE sample. Everything can change next week! And even if it doesn't.....there's still the IUI!
So, both DH and I are very optimistic. I even told my mother (much to DH's chagrin...."you mean you told your MOTHER I jacked off in a cup?") and she's very excited and optimistic.
I had my breakdown but now I am feeling TONS better than I was a few short hours ago.
Thank you ladies for all your wonderful support. It means more to me than you know.
