I Love the name Harley and my hubby and I both love harley davidson also my dad is a big biker, is it wrong to name a girl Harley Dakota and a boy Harley Damion? I mean eather way our lo is a Harley. but my question is is it wrong to have the same name picked out no matter what sex?

We picked the name Morgan regardless of sex. And wanted the middle name to be Ray, after my Grandad that died that year.

So we chose Morgan RAY for a boy and Morgan RAE for a girl!!!

It isn't " wrong " at all , As some names go well for either sex.
With harley though i do think its more a feminine name , I wanted it for a girl & a friend has a little girl also called harley so to me now it will only be a girls name.

I do however like Marley for a boy :)

Not at all. We were going to have Sydney for a girl or Sidney for a boy. we're going with a different girls name now but not for that reason :)

I dont think its wrong at all. If you love the name and it suits both sexes, then great, saves a lot of hassle trying to find different names you like for boys and girls . I know boys and girls called Harley and I think it suits both.

it's a personal thing. if u both love it then go 4 it, u shouldnt let any1 tell u otherwise.

Nothing wrong with it at all for my Daughter at first before we changed it if she had been a boy it was going to be Jaymee for a girl and Jaymie for a boy but my boyfriend changed the Boys name midway she ended up being a Jaymee in the end anyways

I LOVE it! Never thought of it as a girls names before but its bloody gorgeous! And with Dakota...sounds so funky! x

I think it's a great idea. One of our names is unisex also.

My brother was Ashley no matter what sex he was, and if I found a name that was unisex that I loved then I would use it for both x

Would only get confusing if you had twins .... and still decided to give them both the same name;-)

I like it! We were thinking of Jordan for a while, and that goes both ways too!

I def think it is fine to plan the same name regardless of gender... this will prob become far more common now that alot of names are becoming unisex. Personally, though, i prefer Harley for a girl bc i think it sounds feminine... and i think Harley Dakota is very beautiful! BTW, i have also heard Dakota used for a boy!!

A co-worker of mine is big into motorcycles, and so is her husband and her parents... so she named her son Ryder in honor of riding motorcycles! Just another thought!
