Saw heartbeat at 8+3 weeks. Have another u/s in 2 weeks. Am now 10 weeks and although no bleeding my other pregnancy symptoms are decreasing. Had a blighted ovum in November and symptoms started to decrease around the same time. How likely is it that's its another miscarriage if have seen heartbeat and no bleeding?

Hi, I too had a blighted ovum last year, my symptoms went at about 8 weeks. I'm currently 7+2 weeks and my symptons went a week ago, however i had a scan today and saw the heartbeat. Symptoms should start to decrease by now so try to stay positive (I know how hard it is)
Take care

Hey Sweetie

Didn't want to read and run!!

I had a blighted ovum in 2007. A scan at 11+3 showed sac etc. had continued to develop but baby had died very early on. I didn't really have any symptoms but the ones I did have had disappeared by 8weeks ish.

I tried really really hard to get pg again and finally got my BFP at the end of March. I had an early scan at 9+6 just to check everything was ok and started to relax a little as baby had a heartbeat and was moving and healthy. About a week later the panic set in again and I know it will always be here!

I'm now 13+3 and signed off work with anxiety and panic attacks which is causing nausea, high blood pressure etc. which is really making me ill!! I have no reason to think anything is wrong but I can't get it out of my head that I have lost a baby before and it could happen again!

My symptoms also lessened at around 10weeks and it really panicked me but I've been assured by loads and loads of people that it's completely normal as this is when the placenta starts to take over and hormones begin to level out.

I hope you can take it easy for the next couple of weeks until your scan and make sure you speak to your other half and let him know how worried you are and how much reassurance you need. I'm sure you will feel better after you're next scan and everything will be fine but the worry never really goes away. Please try not to make yourself ill with worry and remember that it will all be worth it when you have a healthy baby in your arms at the end of it!
xx
