He drives me up the bloody wall! !! Everytime we say something, he says "huh"? Everytime. Without fail. Whether he heard what we said or not. We've been encouraging him to say pardon, but don't seem to be getting anywhere
How the hell do I stop it? I know it sounds trivial, but it really is driving us both up the wall!

Yeah, I think this is a VERY common phase. In older children too! I remember various children I've known doing this. It is annoying but I doubt there's anything you can do about it but ignore it and carry on as normal, like don't make any reference to it at all.
Believe me 'pardon' starts to become annoying after a while, too!

Toby does this quite a lot as well and we are always telling him too say pardon. xx

I don't know what to suggest apart from correcting him. My hubby is terrible for it, so I don't stand a chance! :haha:

He'll probably get sick of saying it eventually! Charlie is well and truly in the 'whats that?' stage or 'whats the noise?' for every single little thing or noise :haha: I would try and just ignore it for now and maybe 'pardon' will sink in eventually :flower: If I ask Charlie a question he doesn't answer, he just copies what I say right back at me

He says all sorts at the moment! Like if he asks me "what's that mummy" and I say I don't know, he replies with "yes you do"!!! He's so cheeky!
