Hi Ladies,

So i have my internal scan today and got told I have Polycystic Ovaries, the woman said some women conceive naturally and some need help! She went on to ask if my doctor had done blood tests (which he has) I go back for my results Tuesday, to find out if im ovulating how often ect!

I am slightly under weight, and have an excess in body hair...all symptoms of PCOS!

I am just so upset I knew there was something wrong I had a gut feeling, I always have done. I just keep thinking why me. Hoping the doctor can give me some good news on Tuesday...but until then I am left with my own thoughts!

Awww honey i feel for you i really do. I was diagnosed with it in my teens so have had chance to get my head around it. I have only really just started to think more about it due to TTC and have found a book i'm finding really enlightening and that has loads of info on how diet can effect the symptoms (not just for overweight people).

Here is the link to amazon https ://www.amazon.co.uk/PCOS-Diet-Book-nutritional-polycystic/dp/0007131844/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1287664666&sr=8-1

I hope you get your BFP soon xxx

Hi Hun

sorry to hear, I know how you must be feeling, I too was told I had pco
my results were told to me over the phone after 2 weeks do I haven't even had an explanation, it's only the lovely girls on here who has given me all the info !

Your not alone, I was in tears for days and it took me a while to get my head round it
but it does get better, you just need to have love and support around you
and information is power, I have found this is a much better way of going but it is hard

sorry to hear the discouraging news. be encouraged though that there are many women out there with pcos that conceive...some naturally, some with help. i know there are many options out there for you , so its not the end of the road. i know a few women that have pcos and now have beautiful, healthy children, so dont give up hope!

I know how you feel, I was diagnosed with pcos in May of 2009, after a ultrasound and blood test. I was actually wasn't too upset because I hadn't had a period for a couple of months because I thought I had cervical cancer (my mom had it). After the doc read my results she prescribed metformin which has helped my symptoms and gives me a normal period. Some women with pcos don't ovulate because of cysts and this drug helps. Doesn't mean you can't get pregnant, just means you have hormonal imbalance that might take longer.

Good Luck:thumbup:
