scan tomorrow at 12+1

i'm so so so scared.

can anyone tell me the statistics of mmc after a heartbeats been seen at 8 weeks?
i've read them before online, but i just canno't find them on the net now, and i've trawled. hoping this will reassure me a bit.

i just don't feel pregnant. doesn't seem possible that i'm carring a 12 week bubs.

I suffered a MMC in my first pregnancy. It was picked up at my 12 week dating scan and discovered the baby had stopped growing around 6 weeks although my placenta and pregnancy sac had continued to grow and produce pg hormones.

I'm now 8+4 and have a private early scan booked on Sat to check for a heartbeat. I have chest pains and sickness with the nerves before my scan!! I will still be terrified waiting on my 12 week scan. After seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks your baby's chances are very very good indeed!

This information is from the London Miscarriage Association and is really reassuring ...

"You may be referred for an early scan, before 11 weeks, because of vaginal bleeding or spotting, or possibly because you have had problems in a previous pregnancy. The best time to have a scan is from about 7 weeks’ gestation when it is normally possible to see the baby’s heartbeat.

If the scan picks up a heartbeat and the baby appears to be the right size according to your dates, this can be very reassuring. Research has shown that if you see a heartbeat at 6 weeks of pregnancy, the chances of the pregnancy continuing are 78%. A heartbeat at 8 weeks increases the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks to 99.4%. So things could still go wrong, but as long as there is a heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage decreases as the weeks go by."

i'm such a narner, i should have had faith in the little guy, i'm over the moon, took a big sigh of relief, and am relaxed a bit more...well suppose that will last 2 days?
