My lil' man will be 7 months old next Saturday. I started weaning him at 4 months old - eats puree brilliantly. I bought a whole bunch of Stage 2 jars today and different rice cakes, biscuits and rusks ready but am to scared/nervous to give him anything other then purees!
I tried him on toast twice, he mostly played with it in his hands, then sucked it and choked on some (I scrapped it out of his mouth). I just have so many questions about this next stage -
How do you give cheese - is it cheddar and is it cut into cubes, strips or slices?
Will he react to fruit/veg. pieces the same as he did with toast? And if so, will he really choke or just start to chew and swallow?
How much does your 7 month old eat/ate? He has 4 milks (between 24 and 29 ozs a day), porridge or fruit puree for breakfast, whole jar for lunch and either a half jar of puree and a yoghurt or just a whole jar for dinner.
Can he really eat what we eat? My husband cooks every night but it has rice/pasta and herbs (like paprika or cumin, etc). I don't know if this is too much flavours for a baby.
I hate feeling like I'm doing it wrong. I started making him fresh purees but I was working from home since he was 4 weeks old and am now back at office (working from home 2 days) and I didn't have time.
Someone please help!!!!
