My best friend in the whole world is 10 wks pg, she just text me to say she's bleeding. She's had no pain though, and an early scan at 7 weeks was fine and they saw the hb (she had a previous ectopic so she had an early scan this time to rule it out).

Please tell me some good stories, did you have bleeding around this time and all was ok? She is 5 hours away, I just want to go and give her a hug.

Yep had bleeding in both pregnancies twice :) its quite common x

My friend who was pregnant at the same time as me with my DD bled sporadically through her whole pregnancy. All was fine and she now has a healthy little boy! Bleeding doesn't automatically mean the worst so fingers crossed your friend is fine, it must be so worrying for her but having a good seven week scan is a promising sign xx

I've seen loads of stories on here of ladies who have bled throughout their pregnancy (sometimes quite heavily aswell) and the baby has been absolutely fine.

I bled from 5 weeks until 13 weeks and again at 15 and 16 weeks!! Baby was ok!

Thanks everyone. She was booked for a scan at 2pm, I've not heard from her yet and that was nearly an hour ago now. I hope it's just that they are running late. :nope:

My sister in law had bleeding in her first trimester, maybe 8 or 10 weeks, and rushed to the ER. They did an ultrasound that showed baby safe and sound, heart beating away. Please don't worry, and tell her not to worry, like a pp said, it is quite common. Some women get regular "periods" (though not actually ovulating) the whole way through.

Baby looks just fine!!! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers folks xx

I bled 7 weeks from 12 weeks onwards-seriously heavy and bright red gushes at some points. Maybe she has a sch/blood clot like u had?
Babies are strong little things, so I have hope for your friend.
Hope she's all ok.

I had a bleed at 10 weeks and a bleed at 16.5 weeks, I went to hospital because i was so worried but there was my little guy bouncing around waving at us on the screen, I have seen him twice more since the 16.5 bleed and every time he is happy and moving like crazy. if she has no pain or cramping the likelihood of it being something bad is very low! if she has had :sex: recently that can cause a bleed, also just over doing it (ie heavy lifting) tell her to call her doctor and ask their opinion if she is really concerned but it sounds like its just normal early PG bleeding! good luck to your friend :hugs:

I bleed at 8 weeks and 10 weeks and baby is doing just fine.
