School Buses

If your child uses a school bus, when did you start using it?

Hannah has been bussed since she started school at 4 years of age (JK). We didn't have a car and the school was quite far away so it was necessary. My son starts JK in September and though we have a car they will both go on the bus together. (He's 4 as well).

They start riding school busses in kindergarten in the US, so age 5.

Thomas has used the bus since 4. It's SN transport so he has an escort. I used the school bus when I was younger but I think I was around 8 when I used it.

Update from me. Combination of factors, leaving my car seat for my mum to do pick up and time for me to get to work I ended up putting him on, on day2. He's been fine with it.

Age 4 for my son. It was so hard!!! But he loves it. We drive him the first year because I couldn't bear to put my three year old on bus but the following year he wanted to take the bus so much so we let him. There are child restraint seats or seat belts for kids under 5 by law here or by request if older.

My daughter was in first grade and age 6. They seem so little!
