Most of you are from over in Europe and I am one of the few who are not... so I was wondering...
What are the similarities / differences between schooling over there compared to here in the US?
School starts at about 5 years old here when you enter kindergarten.
Then you stay in elementary school until you complete either 5th or 6th grade (depending on the school) and you go into Middle school / Junior High. Middle School / JR. High you stay in for 6th, 7th, 8th grade and 9th grade you start high school. 9-12th grade you spend in highschool and graduate when you are about 18 to receive your high school diploma.
You can't drop out until you are 16 and have to have parental consent.
After high school, typically people go to college for either two years to receive an assoiciates degree, four years to receive a bachelors, or 6 years to receive a masters.
Are things the same over there?
