Hi,

I live in SE London and doctor wants to refer me to a fertility specialist in a week or so, And i just wanted to know if any one that live's in london OR SE London who have or are waiting to be refered, If they No were they've been refered to, Could tell me where and What are my option's on this, Can I pick the clinic/hospital if I find one that's On NHS/PCT. Please Help, I dont want to just be pushed in to a long waiting list at a clinic or hospital were they done even do every i will need. If I had the money I would pay for it my self and get the best one, but Im a Younge mother with a partner with IBS & bad back (Problem with his nerve's/Disk) and needs alot of help so I am unable to work ATM.

Any help, tip's, Advice would be lovly and i would be very greatful. x

Hi there

i live in Marylebone, London and about a year ago I went to my GP, she referred me to FS at St. Mary's where I had several procedures done. I am waiting for my next appointment where am likely to be referred for IVF. Now GP did not give me any choice but at St. Mary's I was offered 4 London clinics for IVF. am now doing my research trying to find out which clinic is best for me. If you have a particular clinic in mind I think you should ask your doctor whether she can refer you there.

I have to say am not very happy with st Mary as they made me go through HSG/Lap&Dye/Hysteroscopy without any need for this as I have nothing wrong. HSG was not done properly and after lap I developed infection and was not even given antibiotics. now I will have to go to a different clinic for IVF, I would rather have these procedures done at the clinic that is going to do IVF as they know what they are looking for whereas these guys just did box ticking exercise so that they could refer me for IVF. In short cant recommend St Mary's, I just hope they did not damage my health with these procedures...

ooow hun sorry to hear that. What a bad place to be refered to. Thank's to tip's and advice, I dont have a clinic im mind as i cant seem to find any close to me but I live near woolwich QE Hospital But I dunno if they do the test's and IUI or IVF. Like you I wanna have my test's done at the same place were they do IUI or IVF so if i do have to have IUI or IVF im already there. If you know what i mean. Im just worried it's going to be far away and dont do everythink i may need. It's hard for me and my fiance to travel, As my Fiance has IBS we will only travel by cab. As im not driving ATM. But getting a cab to london would cost alot. So Im hoping fx'd that the QE hospital does it all. But hopeing and crossing finger's is just a wish. Im not getting my hope's to high on this one. Well thabk's again hun, And if you or anyone has any site's that makes it easier to search local hospital's or clinic in my area I will be very greatful. I Hope (when you get there hun) that your IVF goes well and you get your BFP. Do stay in touch, As it will be nice to share my journey with you. x x x

sure let's keep on touch, this is my thread about London clinics https://www.babyandbump.com/assisted-conception/893353-london-clinic-choose-ivf.html

someone recommended an excellent source - https://guide.hfea.gov.uk/guide/

I got a lot of information from hfea, highly recommend it

I live in chislehurst but used to live in eltham not far from woolwich I would have thought queen elizabeths geanachology I can't spell it! Could deal with most fertility issues like lap and dyes and stuff but if your referred for ivf you will go to guys. That's where I am now! Good luck

Thank's hun but i dunno if i am even able to have IVF as im only 21 and i see on a site before that it range's from 23 to what ever ( cant remember lol ) But Do you know if they do IUI there??? x
