ok im going to admit that i bought rhys' main xmas presents from ebay second hand and theyre lovely :D i saved a tonne of money and the kids will never know anyway!

i got rhys 4 elc happyland sets and tonnes of road peices for about £50 when usually the sets cost between £30-£40 each and the road peices arent available any more.

who else will be doing this? i would never put anybody down for buying second hand presents and its taken a huge weight off my mind :happydance:

I've got brandon one present thats second hand from ebay. It's an iggle piggle pyjama case that costs £20. I got it for £3.65 and it is in absolutely perfect condition

id definately think about it, my mum used to get a lot of playmobile off ebay for my brother for christmas. Kids dont care where the stuff comes from.

great idea :) x

if i was browsing and saw something i fancied for him i would definately get it!

most of ewans toys and clothes are from ebay, freecycle and carboot sales.
nothing wrong with it at all.

I've not yet but I would if I saw something that I liked :D

most of gerties xmas presents are from ebay as there is only me to buy things for her and i cant afford new.

plus she will never know where they came from and they will go back on ebay when she as finished with them so i can buy her other things later on

I would if i seen something i liked :) Toys are so expensive!!

I am getting a lot of presents off ebay this year. I have already gotten quite a few of Jasons and I am bidding on a boxed Polly Pocket dreamworld set from 1991 for Aimee. I think so long as you bid on the items that are described as in excellent condition there is no harm in it. If I did not have ebay my kids wouldnt be having as good a christmas and when they are little they don't really understand. :)

Be careful with the old Polly Pocket. I am pretty sure they have magnets in them, and my stepsisters kid ate one and had to go to the hospital.

my mum used to buy presents for me and my 3 siblings second hand, and i loved it as it meant i could have toys i always wanted but knew my mum couldnt afford otherwise.

Thank you for the concern :)

This one though is one I had myself when I was a little girl and I know there is no magnets :) I know the one you mean though!!

I get stuff off ebay, he has a few cot toys and ordinary toys out of the charity shop. He also has clothes from there, they are in perfect condition. I don't see anything wrong with it, and I don't put people down for doing it, although I know a few people from our family that totally disagree with it, i don't give a sh!te x

Go for it!! If i used ebay id be doing exactly that !! Ive had a bad time with them so i dont anymore , but tbh kids grow out of toys so fast! Best way!! :)

Most of the things i have brought so far are from Ebay/Carboots which means i can buy kyle double the amount of presents for the same price as buying from the shops, same as most of the family lol

this year they can have lots to open :happydance:

It depends what it was, some things no i wouldnt buy secondhand but others i would, just as long as it was in good condition.

Actually a good idea, i hadnt thought about it "christmas wise"
