so how soon did any of u ladies get pregnant after ur c section? did u start trying after the 6 week wait period or did u wait a full 12 - 18 months?

I was told when I left the hospital to not even consider getting pregnant for another year atleast... we only started trying last year but I know people do it sooner.

My daughter was an emergency c-section due to her being a big baby, pre-eclamsia and she was back to back so there was no way i could push her out! i decided myself to have an elective c-section although the doctors did ask me numerous times to try a vbac but i wasnt for having it. emily was born 40+6 weighing 9lbs 6oz and nathan was born 38+4 weighing 8lbs 3oz xx

My 2 will be almost exactly 2 years apart, their birthdays are going to be a week apart. I had complications in my EMCS and was told to wait at the very least a year, but he would prefer 2 years before getting pregnant again.

I know there are some ladies who have gotten pregnant soon after a section but I really wouldn't recommend trying after the 6 week period. The body won't have healed and there's a risk of complications with the strain on a body that hasn't healed from a major operation.
