Do you take your child/ren to your ultrasound? im struggling for childcare for my appointment. just wondered what people tend to do.
x

i have my 12 week scan today, Ds only attends nursery for 6 hours on a monday and a thursday.
My DH is at work, My sister is at work and so is my dad, and my next door neighbour is at a funeral so Leo is coming with me today, wether the hospital like it or not! xx

When i was pregnant with Leo we took my 3yr old neice with us and they were fine about it x

Leo will be in his buggy anyway so wont be touching anything x

Just rang the hospital and they told me its fine to bring my son with me x

I doubt I will have much choice to be honest. I would rather not for the first scan, just in case......

But I doubt the timing of the scan will coincide with the few hours he attends nursery. But I dont mind really.

I am taking my 3 year old son to my first one as I want him to see the baby and be involved. I will probably find someone for the second one as that is a bit longer xx

idk if its different in the states. but most scans are done in our doctor office. and there's never a rule saying kids cant be in there. but in the hospital children cant be in certain areas during flu season because of germs.
on that note, i plan on having my son at every appt :D

My hospital has a policy that does not allow children into the room until after the scan. When we got our letter, it advised us not to bring any children with us unless we had someone to take care of them while we had the scan. They do allows them once they have checked that everything is ok though.

X

Thanks everyone.
Leash27 thats what im worried about as only my DH will be with me so I dont want him to miss the scan. im trying to get hold of them for a different appointment but I cant get hold of them at all. x

My daughter is 18months and she came with us last week for my scan. They said that my partner may have to take her out for the sonographer to concerntrate.....and so be it, yes she had to be taken out half way through as she wan't to get up on to me.

The younger they are the better i'm sure x
