How early can you were you able to see the heartbeat with an abdominal US?

Hmmm...I don't remember. I think it was around 8weeks with an abdominal scan. I only had an early scan with my son, but not with my daughter. And not with this baby either. So I can't remember

I was able to see mine at 6 weeks 5 days! It was a tiny flicker.

I had my first abdominal scan around 7w4d, at first you could only see a blob, but when they zoomed in you could see the heartbeat.

I've been told that it also depends on the model/us machine they have, so it's worth inquiring directly with the surgery. For example, my Gynae said he wouldn't be able to get anything clear until I was 7 and a half weeks - oddly specific! He's only in once a week so I have booked to see him at 8+1/+2 (my tickers seem to disagree how far along I am :haha: )

I did at exactly 6 weeks I was amazed :)
