Seems like all i do is feed him

We recently switched DS from newborn to hungry baby as he was taking a 5-6 oz bottle every hour and a half. He STTN so has his last bottle between 11-11:30 then his next one between 6:30-8:30. The hungry baby he takes 6 ozs every 2 and a half hours does this seem a but much? He's ten weeks old and at his last weighing two weeks ago he was 12lbs 11, he was 9lbs4 born I've tried upping his bottles but he still only takes 6ozs and wastes the rest
