Hi ladies,
I have a ton of progesterone suppositories left over from my last IVF attempt. My luteal phase is really short... 9 days and sometimes I start spotting as early as 6DPO. This ties into poor ovulation. My diagnosis is a vague "ovarian dysfunction." Oddly, my progesterone checks in my LP are "normal" supposedly.
In either case, rather than let hundreds of dollars in suppositories go to waste, I want to take them to lengthen my LP. I'm doing some other holistic stuff to help my FP and ovulation as well.
Here's the issue, these suppositories are 200mg each--a pretty high dose. I was thinking of taking just one before I go to bed every night starting at 3DPO, but I read that you should take progesterone every 12 hours so your levels don't fluctuate. I really didn't want to deal with the mess all day long plus 400mg a day seems like a lot, though I know you can't "overdose" on progesterone. Is it ok if I take one a day at that high of a dose?
