Jellycat- Ollie still has milk on a morning and a night and he loves it so just going to keep letting him have it aslong as he wants.

Emzy glad you got some time off to get yourself properly rested, and glad holly is ok!

Jelly, Lilia has milk in a beaker in a morning cold from the fridge, more as a drink really, but she still has a bottle at night which I am sticking too at the moment. My hv said I should drop it ASAP but I really dont see the harm.. She has it and as soon as she's finished she waves night night it's so cute!

Emzy - Glad Holly is alright and glad you have been able to get signed off so get some rest!!!! :hugs:

LBB - I would've been sooo grossed out!!! Yuck!

Jelly - Kimi has one bottle of milk of a night time...and sometimes if she wakes up too early aka earlier than 6.30am she has another to tide her til breakfast at 8.30am!!!

Hugs to everyone (especially all you pregnant ladies!!)

I swear Kimi is teething...or just becoming a tantruming little mare by the minute!! She's just hard to settle and hard to control when she goes into a paddy!!!

Off for dinner and eastenders :)

Speak soon

xx

Louise I agree I don't see the harm in a night bottle either , the girls do the same as lilia although Amelia downs hers Layla has a bit then just wants dummy !

Emzy so glad she is ok ! Yes food opportunity though if she won't take the dummy , I still have that mountain to climb !

Jelly poor jj must have picked up every germ at the moment !
How's work going jelly?

my mum is set to have radiotherapy they trying to sort it to be done at our local hospital ! The cancer is incurable but hopefully be controlled !

Still need addresses for secret Santa ! Dh won't tell me who I've got yet ! I want to go shopping :)

LBB - That is awful about the headlice - I'd of been so peeved that I would of scopped it back up and taken it to the manager !! Eurghhhhh some parents are just so neglectful :growlmad: xx

Louise - seriously that woman is deranged. Them boys are going to hate her when their older. She really does need to think before she opens her disgusting mouth. Stand your ground this time and hopefully she'll learn. xx

GG - Hope you get to have the help you need closer to home for your mum. Must be very scary for you all :hugs: xx

Emzy - scary about Holly, glad she isn't having any ill effects other than the already feeling under the weather. Yay for a week off - make sure you get some rest though. xx

Jelly - with regards to milk - My HV says that they should be having 20ozs of milk a day (that includes yoghurts, cheese etc etc) Olivia has a milky tea in the morning and 8ozs of cow milk at night. I am still persevering with breastfeeding but with little success at the mo  Hope JJ is feeling better again soon. xx

A rubbish day here really. Olivia managed to sleep in until gone 9am which is a miracle for her !! Me however I feel like I have been kicked in my lady parts ( It is so painful it's untrue, I feel seriously swollen and horrible) Sorry for the tmi but I have no idea if that is a normal pregnancy feeling or not :dohh: I certainly didnt experience it with Olivia.

Have a good evening everyone !! xx

Laura - I don't remember feeling swollen and was told it's due to the extra blood flow. I also would get sharp pains in my cervix like a sharp stabbing pain even got it shortly after JJ was born. Hope it passes soon for you

GG - big :hugs: its good you are able to go with your mum. It must be alot to get your head around at the moment. Fingers crossed she can have the treatment done locally. Work is hectic, got issues with staff having poor attitude and my work load seems to be increasing. Hope to have a good chat when boss gets back to discuss how he wants things to work in the future in regards to my department. Just hoping I have the same thoughts as him :-)

BTP I know your reading so :hi: hope all is well and hurry up and get your laptop fixed lol!

Holly is in her cot screaming again. She still won't take her dummy so won't sleep. We are popping in every 10 mins as this is what the hv recommended last time. It's excruciating listening to her cry but I don't know what else to do... any tips?

Gg big hugs, must be very worrying xx address sent x

Laura, when pregnant with lila I used to get an awful ache/pain right on my pubic bone, felt like I'd been kicked! Turned out it was the starts of spd so I'd get a referral from your midwife to check it out, can be eased if you get it sorted early, I was wearing a brace at the end!!

Thanks Jelly - that would make sense I guess about the blood flow. Gives me another excuse to not let my poor OH no where near me It even hurts when I bloody walk. Grrrrrr !! xx

Emzy - I really do not know what to suggest as I cant and don't ever leave Olivia to cry. I just can't do it. Its such a shame you dont drive as thats what we use in our last resort situations and it always sends Olivia to sleep in the end. Massive hugs hun. xxxxx

Ooooooo I hope its not that Louise - my older sister had it and ended up on crutches - going to give her a quick ring now and check how she felt. x

I have never been one to leave her to cry, I hate it so much  I used to cuddle/rock/ walk around, whatever really rather than leave her to cry. But now, if I pick her up, she goes mad and hits and scratches so I really don't know what to do other than leave her? I pop in every 10 mins and stroke her and cover her up. It breaks my heart :( but tonight was less time, 25 mins crying then she went to sleep x

Emzy Amelia seems to have got the cold now and has woken up screaming and will only settle if I get her up to play which I did for a bit but now she needs to sleep ! She still screaming as I write , she had a bottle a cuddle and dummy !

Laura hope its not the start of SPD (fingers crossed)

Emzy - when James wakes crying like that I usually take him into our room for abit and rock him he then eventually comes round and decides to explore and play on the bed I let him for about 5-10 minutes then hes alot earier to settle back in his cot after. Hope she manages to settle for you soon

I just cuddle mine emzy :( it's really sad it will go soon remember. But Rosalie often does the same she doesn't want me to pick her up but she doesn't want to go down either. Hope her cold goes soon :hugs: :hugs:

Is it a phase they are all going through? Rosalie is waking about 3x a night too just screaming for no reason

Laura I got that too the feeling like being kicked I thought for me it was just all the stretching it was really sore on my hips for about 5 weeks or so then got better (weirdly)

Thanks for all the suggestions girls. All week I've tried rocking, playing, letting her come downstairs, taking her in our room, cuddles, milk... but she just got sooo stressed and hit and scratched like she wanted to be asleep but couldn't? In the end last night she cried for 25 mins, fell asleep then woke up once so I gave her a cuddle and put her back down and she slept in til 9am. She's friends with her dummy again now too lol

Blob I wonder if it is a phase as they're all at it!! I know she's had cold but it was happening before that too!

Morning everyone, sorry for being AWOL!

GG, hugs. It must be hard for all the family with your mum being poorly, I hope you get the treatment sorted closer to home. Do you know what it will entail? x

Hugs to all the poorly babies and mummies, and preggers mummies. These colds are awful at the moment. I'm now on my second lot of antibiotics, hoping this clears up very soon, it's been almost 3 weeks now. Feeling a bit better today so hoping it's the start of getting back to normal.

Hugs Laura with the pain. My SPD started when I was feeling uncomfortable turning over in bed at night. It just got worse from there really. Hope yours is something a bit more temporary. x

Emzy, I hope Holly's better and back to her normal self really quickly. It's the last thing you need if you're tired and sick yourself!! xx

Well, I have a free day today! Wendy, the childminder, rang me last night to see if she could take the kids out today! She is charging for Sam, just swapping his day, and she just wanted some pocket money for the big boys, she's taking them to the Lego discovery centre at the Trafford Centre as she's got a couple of free passes. She will not be paid for looking after them at all, she's mad. So, so much for taking the school hols off work! I am going to take the dogs out in a mo, then come back and make a cottage pie and do a few chores, then as soon as the pool opens for public swimming, I'm going to get my swim! She doesn't want me to pick them up until 5pm, so it's all a bit strange really, but I guess I should make the most of it!!

Have a good day all, catch up in a wee while. xx

Not getting a lot done Blob.... noseying on here and on FB.... just managed to walk the dogs and now I'm gonna make a pork mince cottage pie and sort the veg out. Argh I am soooo not productive when the kids are not here!!!!!
