I live in Sevenoaks (Dunton Green to be precise) and our GP refered us to Prof Erian at Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough (we only went there rather than Mr Wilcox at Pembury because we could get an appointment with Prof Erian quicker!). We've had all our tests done through Prof Erian and he's agreed we should now be put on the nhs waiting list for ICSI but then said he couldn't put us on the waiting list because we're outside of his PCT area and that our GP would need to refer us to another FS instead.
When I spoke to our GP (Dr Koshal at St Johns Medical Practice), he was really surprised and when I spoke to one of the medical secretaries today to find out whether they'd had the letter from Prof Erian yet, she said it was all rubbish! She then called Chelsfield Park Hospital herself and spoke to someone there who has told her to send all our test results to them with our contact details and they'll arrange an appointment for us. It sounds like great news but I'm worried that we'll get there and find it's Prof Erian again (he works as Chelsfield Park as well as PRUH) and that he'll just tell us the same thing again!
Has anyone from Sevenoaks been put onto the NHS IVF waiting list under Prof Erian or another consultant at Chelsfield Park? And is it normal to get an appointment with the clinic before being put on the waiting list? I'm so confused!
