Hello Ladies,

Alright I am hoping someone on here might be able to help me out. Anyone else have painful sex during ovulation time and then severe pain/cramping afterwords?

I have always had painful periods, severe cramps. I went on BC (pill) at an early age to help combat the pain. It worked great for years, until I was one of the .04% of women to get blood clots from BC. URG. Anyway after that I was put on the Meraina IUD. (progestin, therefore I could use it.)

Anyway, that worked great as well. Just took it out a few months ago as my DH and I are TTC our first! :) While on the IUD I used to have pain during sex, especially afterwords. At first I thought it was due to my hubby hitting the IUD when bding....Then I thought it was maybe him hitting my cervix and causing pain. It didn't always happen, so I was unsure exactly what was causing it.

So I have been off the IUD since Mid July. Started TTC in August. Since being off the IUD my AF if like clockwork. Which is really nice! 30day cycles. The first month of TTC I had pain around the 21/22nd (about O time). Then last night 22nd it happened again. I just put two and two together that it happens every time around O time. So I am thinking there might be a correlation.

The pain during sex hurts, but not as bad as after. Usually I'll switch positions and it will stop. But feels like hubby is hitting something and bruising it....Afterwords is the worst. Last month it wasn't as bad. cramps with more of a dull pain. Last night was one of the worst. The pain is a shooting/stabbing pain so bad I can't move. It was so bad last night that I couldn't move for about a half hour. Every time I move it just made it worse. It was so bad that I felt like I was going to throw up. It sucks.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this before? Is it due to him hitting the cervix during O time or could it be something else?

I am going to ask my doc next visit, but until then I thought I'd post it here. Thanks for any insight ladies.
