I was just wondering how long you ladies waited to have sex after your c-section? What about orgasm? Did sex hurt? Did having an orgasm hurt? I had my first child vaginally so this is all new to me and I'm a bit nervous about starting to have sex again.

I'm not even at the point where I even want to have sex again (too exhausted), but this does worry me a little as well.

I think we waited about 2 weeks... Gently. And everything was fine :) x

I waited over 6 weeks, but I had an infection and didn't really get on with FOB.

From what I can remember if you are gentle and make sure to take it at your own pace, then it's not going to hurt.

You need to have stopped bleeding before attempting sex as it can cause infections x

it was about 3 weeks for me and OH. felt pretty normal, we started of gentle as not to hurt me, but by that point most of the pain from the section had gone

It took me 6 weeks to stop bleeding and my first AF only came 2 weeks after that so it was nearly 9 weeks. The first time was a little sore as I had dialated the full 10cm before my emergency section. After that, the most painful part was dh liked to get grabby and he'd grab at my belly and that hurt my scar or while dtd the back and forth motions pulled things too. Way tmi, I know. lol

I got the go ahead from my doctor at two weeks, though i never passed 5cm.

everthing was fine when we had it because u didn't have the baby from there hun x x

The doctor said 6 weeks, unless we felt like it sooner. I was ready at 5 weeks but DH was super cautious and wanted to wait until 6. It really felt no different than I remember before, except no giant belly to get the way.

It wasn't until around 5-6 months PP that I finally lost the C-section apron/hangover belly, it's much better without that.

It was 10 weeks pp as I had a would infection and I hadn't stopped bleeding until I was 7 weeks. It didn't feel good either until about 6/7 months though but I put that down to breastfeeding and the fact that my cycle hadn't returned. It didn't return until my daughter was 9 months old and now I am pregnant!

We waited until I stopped bleeding, which was at 5 weeks.

7 wks pp, very uncomfortable ( I dilated till 9 before c section)

Oh my goodness, you're lucky. I never lost the "apron". :nope: And it's not just in the front, it goes around the sides too. It makes my current bump look like a big lump of fat. I hate it so much as I've got it bad too.

DH and I, once we started having sex again, got into the swing of things very quickly. What can I say? I have a very high drive.
