sex after loss of mucus plug

So I lost my mucus plug like a week ago and I told my husband no sex after that...because I read that the mucus plug protects against infection and so I'm worried that sex would push bacteria into my cervix and infect the baby (I'm group B strep positive). Well today my husband was acting like the biggest baby and insisted that sex was fine and healthy even after I lost my mucus plug and so I caved in...and now I'm so worried!!! I feel like shit for caving in, what if something bad now happens to the baby?

Am I overreacting? Is it ok to have intercourse after the loss of the mucus plug?

No I think it's ok it's only if your waters break you can't dtd so don't panic me and dh have dtd since losing plug and baby fine so please don't worry x

Ive been loosing mucus plug for over 2 weeks now and I cant tell if I have lost it all.. but I dont think if you loose it you cant have sex. I would say if your water breaks then yeah

You can def have sex hun.. just because your mucus plug is gone doesn't mean your cervix is open like if your water broke

Sperm does deplete the amniotic sac after I lost my mucus plug, (with both of my previous babies) OH and I frequently had sex to help my water break. Babies were just fine, no infections either time.
