Sharp pain around belly button at 5 weeks

I'm a little worried. I'm around 5 weeks and I started having sharp pains around my belly button and on my sides. This is my first pregnancy so I have no clue what to expect. I'm pretty sure these are stretching/growing pains, whatever they're called. But i expected that to come later on.. I didn't realize I would start growing so soon. I feel kind of silly..

My midwife/mother-in-law told me that when we are babies we have a blood vessel that is right behind our belly button. As we get older it dries up and becomes a tendon. That sharp pain around your belly button is your uterus pressing on that tendon causing it to feel like a sharp pulling/pinching pain. It's totally normal hun and NOTHING to worry about Congrats on your pregnancy.

Are the pains supposed to be constant? Or do they come and go?
